The SPARK Data Format was created by a task force of SPARK member companies consisting of major mutual fund, insurance company, bank and independent recordkeepers as well as payroll vendors to serve as the industry standard for sending financial, non-financial and compliance information for 401(k) and other Defined Contribution (DC) plans, Defined Benefit (DB) and Non-Qualified retirement plans.
